International Mother Earth Day

This day is a reminder for all of us to take action to protect the earth. Issues such as oceans filling with plastic and turning more acidic, extreme heat, wildfires and floods etc. which affect millions of people, require redressal. Additionally, the COVID-19 pandemic has also had an impact on the health of our ecosystem.

Issues such as climate change, man-made changes to nature and crimes that disrupt biodiversity, such as deforestation, land-use change, intensified agriculture and livestock production or the growing illegal wildlife trade, increase contact and the transmission of infectious diseases. All of this only serves a reminder to shift towards a more sustainable economy that works for both people and the planet.
